Digita Corporation Tax 23.2 - Dormant company error message

We have been made aware of the following error messages appearing when users open some dormant company periods. The same errors may also be appearing for users when working on a file which has an earlier dormant period.

The cause of the issue has been identified as an incorrect value being returned to the tax return validation report, as the client record opens.

Resolution

A permanent fix to the underlying issue has been found and will be included in the next Digita Corporation Tax release.

In the meantime, we have created a script which can be run against the database which will override the incorrect value in dormant companies and will remove the error message. This will resolve the issue for existing dormant companies, but if new dormant companies are created then the script will need to be re-run.

Alternatively, if you do not wish to apply the script the error message can be closed, and the file can continue to be worked on as necessary.

Download the zipped script here. Once downloaded, extract the contents onto the main computer/server, and then on the main computer/server launch 'RUN_ME.bat'. A black command prompt window will then show the script has run successfully.

For additional guidance on running the script, click on this link.

Thank you to our customers who reported this issue to us, and for your patience as we worked on a solution. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

DVO Users

We have already run the script on all Corporation Tax databases in DVO to address the issue, however if you still experience the error please log a support case by emailing emea.support@thomsonreuters.com.
