DIGITA ACCOUNTS PRODUCTION ADVANCED TEMPLATE UPDATES - UK FRS 102 VERSION 25 - KNOWN ISSUE

UK FRS 102 version 25 contains the 2023 iXBRL taxonomy which has required many of the report templates to be updated. However, where there has been an amendment to a template within a report, either at client or practice level, this will block the update from being applied and result in iXBRL warnings to the right of the report with warnings similar to these: core:RestatementsFirstTimeAdoptionDimension = core:OriginalAmountDefault.

The options to clear these warnings are as follows:

  1. Check the template within the client report to see if it has been edited and if it can be reverted to template.
    1. Right click over the template, on the report, select highlight in report structure.
    2. Right click over the template that is highlighted in the report structure tree to select "Compare with template".
    3. In the new window if the "base template" on the right looks acceptable then close the window and proceed to the next step below. If it does not look acceptable proceed to option number 3, below.
    4. Right click over the highlighted template and select "Revert to template".
    5. This will need to be repeated on all affected templates.
  2. If the template within the client report has not been changed from the practice template.
    1. Log into accounts production advanced with administrator rights.
    2. Select the "Template entities" tab.
    3. Double click on the "Practice UK FRS 102 Master" template, or the equivalent template used by the practice, to open it up.
    4. Run the report on screen which had the error in it at client level.
    5. Select the report structure tree to the left of the report and then drill down to the affected template(s).
    6. If it is bold black text and has not been knowingly amended within the practice, right click over the template and select revert to template.
    7. This will need to be repeated on all elements which have been amended.
    8. Close the report.
    9. Select the "Financial Period Templates" drop down menu at the top of the window, "Publish current period as a template".
    10. Select "Yes" to the next two questions and allow the program to complete the update.
    11. Re-open the client data set, click on the "Update" button to the right of the pink update bar.
    12. Once the update has been applied, re-run the report.
  3. If reports have been knowingly amended for display purposes. The report template element will need to be changed manually. To do so:
    1. View the report element in Edit iXBRL mode.
    2. Double click on the table to open the Design smart table window.
    3. Run the cursor over the prior period column heading to click on the "Tag Column" button.
    4. In the Edit XBRL Tag window, click on the drop down menu to the right of "Dimension Set".
    5. Select the option for "Hypercube - Basic", as per the screenshot below (item 1, screenshot below, click to enlarge).
    6. On the second row down it will refer to "Restatements and first time adoption [Dimension]", Click on the elipses button to the right of it. (Item 2, screenshot below)
    7. Select "Currently stated amount [default]" (item 3, screen below, click to enlarge).

    8. Press OK to close the window and update the report.
    9. If the change is made at practice level the template will need to be republished and the client updated to the new template.
