DIGITA ACCOUNTS PRODUCTION ADVANCED TEMPLATE UPDATES

We are pleased to announce the release of the following template updates.

  • UK FRS 102, version 25.
  • UK IFRS, version 28.

Features common to both templates

  • All reports have been updated to use the 2023 IXBRL taxonomy which is accepted by both Companies House and HMRC for UK reports.
  • On the statement of changes in equity, the column heading names are now linked to the category names within the balance category structure, equity section. Therefore, amending the external name of the category will then update on the report.
  • There are now two copies of the statement of changes in equity for each year, one with the IXBRL tagging for adjustments/restatements and one without.

Impact on existing clients

As many of the templates within the reports have had the IXBRL taxonomy updated, where templates have been amended, either at client or practice level, they will need to be reverted back to the default template to ensure the taxonomy update is applied.

Known issues

  • Where a report is being exported to Excel it will first be necessary to untick the "Contents" page template within the report structure tree.
  • When exporting the report to Word, unless the report includes three or more signatories, use the vertical presentation otherwise the export will stop at the signatories.
  • Updates have been made to the disclosures within the 'Income tax' note for "tax reconciliation" and "Deferred tax assets, liabilities and movements". As a result, if these tables have been customised, it may be necessary to select "revert to template" in order to re-establish the link to the Disclosure tab.

Template installation

Before installing the update Accounts Production Advanced must be version 6.30.9574.38. This can be checked by selecting the 'Help' drop down menu 'About Digita Accounts Production Advanced'. If it is not then the program will need to be updated first. The link to the latest versions of the Digita programs can be downloaded from here along with installation instructions.

It has come to light that test data remains in the last UK FRS 102 template which needs to be removed. In order to do so the following action will be required:

  • Open the 'Practice UK FRS 102 Master' template.
  • Select the 'Disclosures' tab.
  • Click on 'Dividends' in blue
  • If there is data in the cells under the 'Dividends' or 'Dividends paid' tabs then delete this data.
  • Press OK and close the data set.
  • Installation of the update can now proceed as outlined below.

Template updates can be downloaded by logging in as a user with administrator permissions. Select the 'Tools' menu, 'Content download' option where available updates will be presented. The templates are then installed by clicking on the 'Install' button.
